future colorado bandster

hi yall , just wanted to introduce myself .. im sara , and i live in tampa florida right now , wanting to make the move to colorado ( denver area probably ) within the year hopefully , im scheduled to be banded here in florida on friday feb 13th ( i love the date lol ) and i know when i get out there i will need a fill dr ............ ive read some good reviews about dr johnell , i hope he takes patients who have had the surgery elsewhere , im really looking forward to moving out there and making some great friends , if anyone can give me any info on some good drs and or just to chit chat about anything , id love to hear from you , thanks sara

hi Sara! By now you're a few days post-op. Congrats on this new chapter in your life. Dr. Johnell is my surgeon and he's been great to me; I bet you'll have good experiences with him too. His wife Patrice is a nurse and she's very knowledgeable. Dr. Snyder is another good band docor in the area. I've heard lots of good things about him, too. There's lots of support available for Colorado Bandsters. There's an email list (go to yahoo.com, click on "groups", then search for "Colorado Bandsters") and we meet once a month in north Denver, near Boulder and then two weeks later we meet in central Denver. There's also the Colorado Rockers, not specifically Bandsters, but CO weight loss surgery folks who all get together for support and fun.
