Please Help ease my mind before surgery....

I have been wondering if any of you gained any weight before surgery? I have gained close to 20lbs!!! Since seeing Dr. Snyder in October. I guess there was the holidays also I just haven't been dieting like i used to. I am a day or 2 away from TOM and I do usually gain a few pound then but I know that I have gained most likely 15lbs for sure. Well, I'm sort of really getting scared that Dr. Snyder is going to yell at me when I get back. It is just consuming me with guilt. I am attempting to do Atkins to lose a little bit before D-day. My date is Feb 2nd. " I guess I just let myself relax more then I used to. After I had my daughter Emilie in Demeber of 2002. I weighed 380lbs and lost all the way down to 332lbs just by breastfeeding her and eating like one meal a day. By the time I went to Dr. Snyder 10/03 I was up to 342 and was sticking there for a while and then after the holidays POOF 360lbs! I don't know how much weight I can lose in 2 weeks but I guess I should try huh? Could someone set my mind at ease? Especially anyone else who has had Dr. Snyder and gained some weight before surgery. Tell me he didn't yell or turn you away Hugs and stuff, Michelle

Michelle, Relax!! a lot of people gain weigth right before their surgeries! Unless Dr. Snyder told you to LOSE weight befroe surgery, you will do just fine. I'm betting you are Elijah's sister in law, your last name is so unusual. If you are, you are lucky to have Rebecca and him for support, he has even been a great source of support to me, before and after my surgery, and I only see him when he is at work and I stop in at the right time of day! Go for it!! This is such a wonderful opportunity for us to regain our lives and our health!
