Merry meet does anyone know of any drinks out there that are sugar free and aspertame free. I am looking for something for after surgery besides fruit juice, vegetable juice, water and protein shakes. I get sick from aspertame and sacrin. so those two sweetners are out however if someone knows of anything like crystal light with splenda in it instead of aspertame i would love to know. I have found that i should be able to drink the baby juices. they are lower in sugar then adult juices. and i can drink v-8. but i have not found anything else. any help in this would be great. Bright blessings Jade

Jade, If no one knows of additional suggestions for drinks, try going to Barbara Thompson's web site: WLSsolutions.com. She seems to have the answers to just about every question. Also, if you know anyone in the Denver area who is interested in meeting on the first and third Tuesday of each month in Englewood, please spread the word. We meet at 6:30pm at the Malley Senior Center in Englewood. Thanks and good luck.

I know what you mean. I get sick from fake sweetners like aspertame too. not to mention they are so horribly unhealthy. people that eat all sorts of sugar free and fat free foods do not understand how horribly unhealthy they are and how much damage they are doing to their bodies by putting all that salt and chemicals inside of them. specially after surgery when you need good nutrition and food. eat whole food. not designer crap. drink real liquids, not designer protein and chemcial laden foods. think about it. folks were more healthy and had to be with a harder lifestyle 100 even 50 years ago. yet today, people relie on food that isn't really food at all. want something to drink that isn't laden with sugar or chemicals? try taking some natural fruit juice and mixing some filtered water with it for a diluted mixture that has taste yet isn't loaded with sugar and chemicals. filtered water with some lemon or lime in it. Filtered water is the best for you and with our surgery, we can not afford to put more chemicals inside of us. If you drink tea, make sure that it is decaffinated tea. most herbal teas are decaf naturally and come in a varitey of flavours. they are good hot or cold. I like the raspberry teas I don't eat sugar free foods, nor do I do fat free things. I eat the sort of food that I want to, real food made from scratch but in smaller portions. today is 9.5 months post op for me and I have 126 pds off. I must be doing something right. eat and drink healthy. that is the most important thing after our surgery and healthy is balanced, natural and varied diet of food. Not everything designer made, de sugared, filled with replacement chemicals, de fatted, filled with extra sugar and salt to compensate. eat the real thing, drink the real thing in moderation with a few variations to reduce the sugar and you will not only find that your food tastes better since it is the way that nature intended it, but that you feel better too. Melisa Success is the BEST revenge!
