Hey there; I am wondering if any fellow Coloradoans out that have insurance through Frontier Airlines (United Healthcare) and what their policy regarding this surgery is??? I am at a crossroads with the new bid now at my job (Cigna or Aetna POS ) and the choice of UHC with my husband's job! Any info is GREATLY appreciated!! ~Judith~

Hi Judith, I don't have Frontier Airlines, but unfortunately I do have Cigna. I'm still pre-op but I have a suggestion. You may want to call a few of the bariatric surgeons in your area to find out if they will tell you which insurance companies seem to be the easiest to deal with and which ones they get the highest approval for. The surgeon that I am probably going to use (Dr Snyder in Thornton) has a lady in his office who specifically handles insurance issues (her name is Dolly). From what I understand, they do a great job in his office of fighting difficult insurance companies. Check out their website if you want www.denverbariatrics.com - They even have a special section on their websites for Cigna and Aetna patients (how special!). I personally have heard that Pacificare and BC/BS are two of the easiest insurance companies to deal with. Suzanne in Colorado (Frederick)
