HELLO Colorado folks!

Hi! I'm in Castle Rock too. I had the DS in California with Dr. Anthone and I couldn't be happier! I'm down 120 in 10 months and have 42 to go till I reach my personal goal. LIFE IS SO FUN!! I spend most of my online time at Spotlighthealth and we have formed a fun CO group called Colorado Rockers. We meet once a month for lunch. We go all over the place from Pueblo to Thornton ( that's as far north as we've gone yet... ) and welcome all new folks. It really is a wonderful group, and we represent ALL of the surgeries! We have RNYers, Bandsters, and me... the lonely DSer... LOL. OK, my ignorance just peeped out under my skirt... what is DS? Is that the abbreviation for the stapling?

Hi, I am in the process of doing research for a surgeon. There seems to be alot of good choices. How do you pick one? Do I check with my insurance first or visit a couple of surgeons and see who I feel comfortable with. How did you all decide? I live in the mountains so locale isn't really a factor. I could use your input.
