Good Morning Coloradoans!

So, I had my consult with Dr. Snyder and just love him. My biggest worry at this point is that Cigna requires a 6 month medically monitored weight loss program - which I have done through my physician and Slimegenics, but the company destroyed my records and so we have to rely solely on the notes from my doctor. I guess it is not really a huge deal, I mean worst case scenario is that I have to wait 6 months.

In the meantime, I have had my labs done, have my pulmonary function test and nutrition consult scheduled for this week, my psych eval for next week, and my post-op nutrition class scheduled for the first week of December. My hope is that I can have the lap band done on December 9th - so I am putting it out there so that the universe can align with me!

Have a great day everyone!

I would check again with Slimgenetics....they are required to keep all records (they might have put your records on microfiche or disk).  I do hope that the insurance will accept a detailed letter from your doctor (I had to do the same thing with mine-- I relocated from CO to NY and my records were totally screwed up!)
Good luck on your surgery!!!

Lena,

Thank you so much for the encouragement. You have affirmed what I thought should be the case in keeping records for the company. I will call them again tomorrow, but am having a really hard time finding contact information for the corporate office. I am staying positive and proceeding with the other requirements as if there is not any chance of getting a no. I hope you are enjoying New York, though I have never been out there, I am sure the chane in the season is wonderful.

I live here in Colorado now...don't miss New York very much!  Best thing is for you is to call their local office and ask them for the contact information as to medical records.....and then either write (send a registered letter with a "official" written requesf for a copy of your records.)
Good luck!

That is great advice and I thank you for staying so positive. Welcome back to Colorado.
