Next year WE are moving back to Colorado Springs, I've had enough of hot muggy FL and I miss my mountains, lol I'm looking for input on surgeons in the Springs. I'm still pre op, and have a surgeon here, but when I move I will need one to follow up with.

Any suggestions?

I chose Dr. Scott Fisher for my RNY. He came highly recommended from some prior patients.  He is with Colorado Springs Surgical Associates, and does RNY and Lap band.   He is a great surgeon and I am very happy with my choice.

i would recommend any of the surgeons in the Colorado Springs Surgical group, but my ultimate favorite and my surgeon is Dr. Roger Nagy.  He did my RNY and also took out my gall bladder last December.  He is always accessable and willing to go the extra mile.  Good luck, and welcome home!!

I also use Colorado Springs Surgical Associates.  Dr. Scott Fischer is my doc, but I recently had a band emergency and Dr. Roger Nagy was one of the best doctors I have ever seen.  If you can get him, do it!  He is the bomb and when I say best doctor, I mean of all doctors, not just band doctors!  I think he is GREAT!

Another vote for Scott fisher - even with my complications, he worked wonders.

I had the lap band proceedure by Dr. Ihor Fedorak at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Spgs.  If you are wanting a caring, educational, and patient doctor, he's the guy for you.  He was extremely patient with all my questions before and after surgery.  But what I liked most about him was...now looking back...surgery was 7/1, he took time tightening my band even though I felt it wasn't working fast enough (I'm the type of person who wants things yesterday), he was so patient with me.  I had been reading how the weight just melts off patients, but at the same time, I was incorrect in my expectations...a patient must loose slowly, it's not healthy to do otherwise. So by Dr Fedorak going slow with the adjustments I needed, it helped me become accustom to the tighter band each time..(had to have 3 adjustments)...since the band was going to be in me forever...I am so extremely thankful he adjusted it the way he did. Now it's middle of December and I've lost over 30lbs and am down 4 dress sizes. Good luck!

They are all great in this group. My doc is Fedorak, but I've been to Fisher and know Nagy as well...I would trust any and all of them with my life...I just had a revision from band to RNY, and it's been harder than I thought...couldn't have survived without them!
