Hi ,love to hear about Colorado..
Hi Brenda,
I was born and raised (mostly) in Colorado Springs. I love it here. We are close to the mountains, it is smaller than Denver, lots to do if you are an outside kind of person. That said though, I would definitely move to Ouray CO or somewhere close if I retired. It is actually in the mountains and is the most beautiful place I have seen.
There is also Boulder which northwest of Denver and more in the mountains, awful pretty there. If you are a plains kind of girl, there are lots of small towns out east from the Springs.
If you have any idea of what part of the state you want to live in let me know, I might be able to give you some more info on it.

I live in SW Denver metro area. I was born and raised here. I left Colorado and then eventually moved back as it is in my mind one of the best places to live. If I had a choice of where to live in Colorado it woul be a smaller town up in the mountains. If I could figure out a way to work from home that would be my preference. But, I do have to work and come in to work so we still live in Denver itself. Anywhere in Colorado you can find work and want to live is going to be a good place to be. Grand Junction is growing and you might find work there. It is on the western slope of the mountains and it is a small interesting place to live with lots of variety and it is big enough to do lots of things there. I personally love Glennwood Springs and Estes Park...but...no jobs.
