New from Castle Rock

Hi All,
I am new to the board.  Just had gastric by pass 1/12/09.  I went through some challenges getting here having started the onset of the process May 2008 but I made it.!  Have already lost 19 lbs and 10 1/2"!  Doing great to date.

Congrats!  I'm new to the site, still in the research stage.  I'm trying to decide which doctor would be best for me that is approved by my insurance.

I don't think finding a Doc who would be covered.  The main thing is to make sure your Insurance company covers bariatric surgery and which kind.  Some companies only cover lap band while others cover any type of insurance with thorough documentation from several sources before they would authorize surgery.  Trust me I went through all of this but it has been worth every challenge so far!
