Hello everyone...
I am going to do a post here for everyone in Colorado...It seems like there is a lot of people, but not many on here want to post or chat the same as they do on the general board. It is kinda neat to have this board cause it is more close to home. Are the people in Colorado afraid to talk to each other? Starting a support group and getting people to talk is really hard I have to say.
I know your out there guys...lets all get together and support each other!!!

Hi Alexis,
I usually only stop in here once a week or so, but I agree - it is tough to get folks talking on this board!
I had RNY in August of this year, and it has gone pretty well. I still struggle a little bit with eating the right foods (can you say HOLIDAYS!?!), and getting in the right amount of protein. But I continue to lose, and that is positive. Doc's and nut are happy with my progress.
How are you doing?

That is great! Very encouraging. I had the band done in May. I am doing pretty good with it. I still have some struggles with food, mostly getting enough fluids, but your right about the holidays. You should be happy with your progress to.
Hopefully we can get more people talking on here...it has to start somewhere!

BigDaddy! You're doing great! Holidays are the worst time to eat the right foods! ARGH! BUT I consider a NO gain during the Holidays as a big bonus! I actually lose 16lbs in December! I had hit a plateau and I used the holidays as a time to get serious, because I knew the temptation would be over the top!
12/09 and 6/11, 9 skin removal procedures with Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico
Revised to the Sleeve after losing 271 lbs with the LapBand.
Thanks for the encouragement. I am finally back to my pre-holiday weight!
I looked at your blog (cuz I'm nosey :-) ). My sister got the band about a year ago, and appreas to have struggled with it. You have done amazingly well! Kudos to you! I opted for RNY cuz I know will power is my weakness. It really has worked for me.
Take care!

I am new to this forum, what a treat to have CO support! I am having my lap band surgery tomorrow and couldn't be more excited! I've lost 11lbs on the pre-op diet and am looking forward to a new me. I've realized that I've been living a lie. I've always portrayed confidence, but the truth is, I've never truly loved myself. Apart from my children, I don't think I've been able to fully love anyone because of my weight. I love my husband dearly, and I think it will continue to grow even more after the surgery. I'm doing it for my health and my kids, and mostly for me. !
