I received word yesterday that my insurance has approved my surgery so I am set for January 13, 2009!!  Dr. Dickinson in Fort Collins will be doing the surgery.  I am excited but also a little nervous!  We are taking a horse to stock show and my surgery will happen two days after she is done showing so it will be very hectic!  I placed my order for the carnation instant breakfast so that I have a supply ready!  Any tips or words of sage advice would be greatly welcomed!!

Congrats on your surgery date!
My only advise is to follow all the rules your NUT and surgeon give you...if you do that, you have no choice but to suceed!
Keep us updated!

Congrats....  The only words of advise that I have is give yourself time. There is a lot to learn, and a lot of questions, so ask all of those questions and take your time.  It doesn't happen overnight.  You will do great!!!!

Thanks Tiny dancer I appreciate your support !  I am now 8 days out and counting and I have my pre-op this wednesday.  I am getting anxious to get it done and get started on the new way of life.  I read the book "Before & After" by Susan Maria Leach and it was really a good book to read before my surgery and there are some great recipes for after the surgery!  I highly reccommend anyone who is going have GYN read this book, and anyone who has already had the surgery can benefit from reading this book.  I really gave me some great insight and answered a lot of questions.
