I'm using Dr Snyder and he is absolutly wonderful & caring.  Both Snyder and his
staff are very caring & helpful,  I know there are other surgeons out there that
other people prefer but Snyder is the one my PCP referred me to (thank god) and
there is NO WAY I would consider going anywhere else.

I'm having surgery tomorrow so I really dont have any time to change my mind.  :o)

I think he too is an amazing man and very caring. He has conferences that you can go to the next one is Nov.22 I believe. And the one following is on Dec. 13. I have been to one conference already and going to be at the one on the 13th again with my parents as they want to see what I will be going through and all that. It is fascinating to sit and listen to him. It is 2 hr conference and the time flies by so quickly! At the end he has a panel of patients come up and tell about their experiences as well. Its all very informative and I wouldn't consider going through anybody else with this kind of surgery.

Love Dr. Snyder.  He is very thorough, caring, motivating and very high energy.  I had lap band by him on June 5th and am down 80 lbs so far.  I was also part of his panel at the Oct. seminar.  He's very busy but worth the wait if needed to get in to see him.  My husband went with me to the seminar and my consult appt and he was very impressed as well, that was important to me as he is much more level headed when it comes to making decisions, I make them based on emotions too often.  Also, Amanda, his nurse is awesome too.

Long2bThin,
If you were on the panel in Oct. then let me just say that you look amazingly awesome. I don't know which one of the panel you were but everybody up there just looked soo great. You were all an inspiration to both me and my husband as we were in the audience. Great job and keep up the wonderful work!

Aww shucks, thanks Rafting!    Have you had your consult appt yet?  surgery date???  At that panel I was the only female that had lap band surgery and I spoke right after the guy who just had surgery a few days before that.  I sat next to him and had a black/white top on with black jeans.

Ok I remember you now. You look beautiful! We just scheduled our consult appt today. Was thinking that we could get in around the middle of Dec. Yeah that didn't work out. He is booked out until Jan.28th!! We were shocked but that just shows how fabulous he is as a surgeon, doctor and man. We are getting to see him on the 28th of Jan. and are going to be going through his fast track program hopefully. We will have the psych eval, and pulmonary test done before hand so hopefully we can have surgery in Feb. That is our hope anyway. Again, my wish for you is that I hope you know what an inspiration you were to my husband and I and others. We are going to another conference on Dec.13th with Dr.Snyder just because we can always learn more or even hear the same thing but we might retain something else this time that might have slipped by last. We are soo excited to get going and on to our healthy lives. We are also hoping that sometime after our surgery that we can be up on panel too to help encourage others as you have done.

Even though technically there wasn't a 'fast track' program at least that I was aware of it went fast for me.   I had my consult on May 14th and before that I had gotten my pulmonary and psych and bloodwork done so he had the results at that appt.  I just made appts with the docs on his webpage.  All I needed was a cardio then and I had surgery on June 5th and even was gone 10 days on a cruise in between there.  Of course when you are waiting for the surgery it seems like an eternity but hindsight it was fast.
Thanks for the kind words.  And good luck to you.  Keep me posted!

I am a patient of Dr Snyder's and so is my husband.  I had RNY on 7/23/7 and my husband had RNY on 7/7/8.  We have both lost enough weight to have lost the size of a small teenager!

Dr. Snyder has changed our lives tremendously!

I have also become a Support Group Leader because of what he and the staff in his office have done to change my life!

I'm not sure which area you live in - but you are more than welcome to attend our FREE support group meeting!  Bring a friend/family member or anyone who will be involved in your journey!  We meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.

We are meeting this Thursday 11/13/8 at Starbucks in Littleton
Wadworth & Bowles, Littleton
6149 S Balsam Way
Littleton, CO 80123

Email me if you need directions - and you will LOVE Dr. Snyder!
