Kaiser Patient with Question

Hi Everyone! I am a Kaiser patient and I have a few questions maybe someone could answer for me.

1). Has any one had RNY under Kaiser? What was the experience? Who was the surgeon?

2). I have a 30% co-pay. Any ideas wabout how much the costs of surgery is under Kaiser?

Hi Kristin,

I had surgery on July 22 with Dr. Chae and I would do it all over again!  I am down 45 lbs so far.  He is great!  

I was told that the 30 % would be any wear from 5000-9000.  I knew ahead of time so I signed up for both my kaiser plan and my husbands kaiser so I was covered 100%.  Apparently they take payments which will help!  Let me know if you have any more questions, maybe we can talk over the phone if you would like!

I also have Kaiser-Colorado Springs and was told 30% would be around 5k. for the hospital part.  Then there is the doctor and anesthiologist (SP?) fees.
I have an appointment with my surgeon next week and I will ask about how much they think it will be.  I plan on financing as much as I can due to the high price.
