Dr Michael Johnell patients??
Hi Becky,
I had rny with Dr. Johnell on July 10th this year. Dr. Johnell and his staff are really great. I have had a couple complications but they were unforseeable ones.
I had to be flight for lifed to greeley for emergency hernia surgery and dr. Johnell was in the emergency room at 10pm waiting for me, that impressed me greatly.. I think they are all wonderful.
Your lap band will go beautifully!! GL with your journey!

Hi Becky,
I had surgery Jan 31st of this year with Dr. Johnell and I am so glad I did. Everybody, and I do mean everybody, in that office I have the utmost respect for. They are caring and professional and will answer any question any time and I truly believe they are the reason I have loved my band so far. Also their post-op support is great!
Good luck to you!

Hi Becky,
I had lap band surgery 2 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. The staff is amazing. Becky will be there the day of surgery to make sure every thing goes smoothly and that you are comfortable. I can't say enough good things about the PAs , I've worked with Steve and he's been fabulous!
Good luck!

Hi and congratulations!!!!
I am so glad I went to Dr. Johnell. Him and ALL of the staff have been really great and have answered all my questions and have been wonderful. They really make you feel comfortable when you go in there. Are you getting the realize band or lapband? I got the realize band and love it.

Hi.
I'm checking out this site for the first time. I see where you posted on 8/24 that you were scheduled for surgery on 9/11 with Dr. Johnell. I am scheduled for surgery 10/2. I'm wondering how things went with you. If you had to travel, you might not be home yet.
I live in Cortez, which is 9 hours from Greeley. I have family in Thornton where I will be staying. I'm eager to get past the surgery and get on to the rest of my life. I still need to lose 6 more lbs before my surgery date. Did you lose the weight you were supposed to?
I have about 90 lbs to lose. I would be happy with 75.
I'm older than most of his patients (58) and I hope it won't slow down my progress. My insurance is only paying a part of the costs, so I have had to scrape up a LOT of money. I think I have it all gathered up, now. I will have to repay most of it, but I'd rather do that while I am losing the weight than to postpone the surgery till I have all the money collected & saved up front.
I am kind of dreading the trips up to Greeley for the adjustments during the winter months, but maybe I won't have to have as many adjustments as I fear.
How was your experience at the hospital? Was there a reason you chose the Lap band instead of the Realize band? I initially picked the Realize band, but it isn't too late to change my mind, if I need to. I really conflicted about which one to select.
Do you have diabetes? That is the main reason I started all this. I have had Diabetes II for 10 years and I am so ready to be done with that. Hopefully this surgery will lead to an improvement with my quality of life and a longer life expectancy.
Please let me know how your experience went. I leave to the Greeley area on 9/26. Have lots and lots to do before that - including losing those 6 pounds.
