HELP!! Traveling to Steamboat- Elevation concerns????
I am planning to travel to Steamboat to see son and his fiance in a couple weeks. That wil put me at 4 weeks post op. Should I have any concerns regarding the elevation. I'm feeling really good, but I don't want to do anything to mess things up. Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

I saw a program on Nova that suggested ginko might help with tolerating high altitudes. I suggested this to some friends who were coming in from NY state; they both used it before and after they got here (combined with lots of water). Neither of them suffered any signs of altitude sickness (they flew in also and went right up to 7,000 feet). Worth a try...you can buy ginko at any health food store. By the way, they were both in their fifties. Mikelanne P.S. I just looked

Thanks for the suggestion. You're not too late. My DH got sick and we had to cancel the trip. We haven't rescheduled yet so I'll keep the ginko in mind when we do.
Thank you again.
