One of the things that I am worried about in having the Gastric Bypass is the possibility of loose skin.  I know it's vain but for some reason, that bothers me.  My cousin had the surgery and ended up having a tummy tuck and a boob job.  Which if I end having to, I most likely will, as well. Anyway, I spoke to a lady in Littleton, CO who runs a place called "Suddenly Slender"  Here is her response to my e-mail. I can't guarantee it works, but I figured I'd let everyone know what I learned. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ HI!  Thanks for writing, great question!   We have a number of clients who have had the surgery or who are considering it; we also have a regular client who works for a plastic surgeon, she sends us a lot of clients before their surgeries (the more inches we can take off before the surgery, the better).  One of the top things our clients seem to love about the wraps is how they tighten the skin. After your surgery it will be important to come in for wraps as you are losing your weight. The wraps take about two hours to do, you will go down somewhere between 6-20 inches overall the whole body, and for an individual wrap the cost is $139. I do have wrap pkg. for people who want to come in more often and they are: 3 visits for $375. 5 visits for $599. 9 visits for $995.   The wraps are great for diminishing cellulite, and taking off inches in different areas. Plus, when you come in I  have an energy product you can sample.  Most people can tell the difference right away, and there are no stimulants in the product.   Call when you decide which day works best. I schedule appointments Tues- Fri from 9 am-6 pm for the last appointment time. Then on Sat from 9-4 pm for the last appointment time. This is my busy time of year, so call as soon as you know when you would like to come in.   Yours in Health,

You might want to google for body wrap scam or body wrap fraud.  You didn't expect her to tell you they don't work, did you?

Here is what I found when I did the search.  I used to get them for weight loss and detox and they did work for that but the loose skin I have no experience with.  I will certainly try them before going in for a tummy tuck though.  http://ezinearticles.com/?Are-Body-Wraps-a-Scam?&id=867443

I can tell you first hand that this didn't work at all.  I went to Beverly and did a wrap.  #1 she works out of her house, #2 you do lose som inches but within 2 days they are back so not worth the 140 I spent to get it done.  There are some online things you can purchase to do it yourself at home.  I have to come to realize that I will have excess skin and will have to deal with it when the time comes but I would rather have loose skin then be MO :-)

Hope that helps
