age related question

I am 64 years old and scheduled for a gastric bypass on June 23rd.  I am looking for someone who is around my age to offer me some insight as to what I might expect. I am in reasonably good health, but not 30, if you know what I mean.  I am very, very excited and so inspired by the before and after photos I have seen.    I am looking forward to benefiting from everyone's experiences.  Thank you, Mikelanne, Johnstown, CO I
