VSG in Colorado?

Hello,     I'm just beginning the process of looking into weight loss surgery.  After loosing 110 lbs a couple of years ago, and nearly gaining all of it back, and countless other not so drastic weight losses and regains, I feel like this is my only hope of keeping weight off.  After doing some reading, the  Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy is really intriguing me.  The problem is, I haven't been able to find a surgeon in Colorado who does this on a regular basis.  I did find one who would do it as a last resort only.  My question is, does anyone know a surgeon in Colorado who is performing this?  Have any of you had it done out of state?  If so, how does the follow up work?      Any advice or encouragement anyone would care to offer would be greatly appreciated! I know Dr. Thomas Brown is doing them.  I don't know how often.  Colorado Bariatrics

Dr. Jonathan Schoen/University Hospital does the sleeve gastrectomy.  He was profiled doing this surgery a while back on Fox news.    www.uch.edu

Hi,     Thanks for your response.  I had heard about Dr. Schoen doing VSG but not until I had already had an appointment with Dr. Matthew Metz, who I found out also did it.  Since I already had my appointment, I decided to go with Dr. Metz.  My surgery is actually this Thursday!        What kind of procedure did you have?  Or...have you had it yet?
