Anyone in Thornton or nearby? My date is on SATURDAY!!
Hi there. I actually had surgery RXY almost 5 years ago. I truly, truly love my new life! I wished I would have done it sooner. It's amazing how differently people treat you and how differently you start feeling about yourself.
Men can usually "ignore"a fat lady if he doesnt have to be with her and be "semi" nice to a fat lady... the worst are the women... and it was and has been really nice to see how nice women can be! I have made a conscious decision never to treat an overweight person badly EVER! Despite their being "used" to being ignored/invisible... and reject or at least resist a person being nice to them... I will never make anyone feel unconfortable.
Every part of my life has changed! Well, 99.9% of it. I am still married to the same man... who wasn't all that supportive of me having the surgery (and then a TT)...but, he has been wonderful to me since we went on our first date (when I was skinny), then as the years went by and I got fatter and fatter...and now with me again.. he's wonderful! but, every other part of my life has changed! I have found out who my REAL friends are!!!
God Bless...

Hi everyone!
Wow it's so nice to see such a great board. Heather, I live in Thornton and would have loved to have been a support for you during this time. If you need me still though let me know! I had my surgery 1/21/07, and have lost 154 lbs. I do agree that life is different afterwards. It's amazing how different your view is when your weight is not hindering you. I hope and pray your trip to the loser's bench was uneventful, and I'm happy to have you here girl! God bless you.
