Can anyone tell me if they had surgery at Rose Medical Center ? My insurance company threw a wrench in my plans and now require I go to a center of excellence for surgery and I was thinking of Rose Medical Center, any info on the facility as well as the drs would be great. Thanks.

I had my RNY Surgery at Rose on 9-10-07, and everything came out great. Dr Snyder was my surgeon, and I have absolutely no complaints about the hospital or staff at Rose.
Thanks,
-Veronica

I had surgery in January at Rose with Dr.  Snyder.  He was great and I only had one minor problem with the nursing staff that really could not be avoided but I did address it with the Nursing Supervisor who made sure things went well from that point on.

i don't think that rose is a center of excellence unless they just got it. you might go to psl because they are for sure.

I used Dr. Micheal Johnell with North Colorado Medical Center.  He and hospital were both wonderful.  I know he is center of excellence.  A friend of mine used Dr. Snyder at Rose and she was very happy with her experience.   Good Luck!

Im going into Rose medical center on Jan. 14 2008, thats less that 7 days away, for my Gastric bypas. Dr Snyder is my surgeon. YES they are a center of excellence. Dr Snyder has done over 1700  Gastric Bypasses, Most are done laproscopically (which is much safer), He has had only one death in all of those surgeries (that is wayyyyy below statics for death rates). They do tons of testing to make sure they beleive you and your body are ready and capable of handling the new changes. They are an excellent hospital so far and I researched for two years previous to deciding to go with them, I had to make sure I was getting the best of the best, and in my opinion Dr Snyder is the best in colorado, if not the nation. You have to start by calling for info, then going to one of his free seminars before he will even let you see him. All of the hoops are well worth the jumps and time. This is your life that is on the line and only the best should hold your life in their hands, make sure you do your homework, in the end the work you do now will pay off in health benefits! Hope this helps!
