Hi everyone! So I have not updated in awhile. So I will start from where I remember, I was approved in May for the surgery, and was told it could take up to 18 months.. =[ So I called in August, to ask them if I was getting any closer to being called up for my classes ( I have Kaiser). They told me, I would be called up with in the next month. Not so bad I thought!. Well the following week, I got a call it was time for me to get my classes set up!! Holy smokes! so soon So today, we my 2 appointments, my physic eval, and a physical.  Both went great and I got my classes set up!! I start my classes October 17th!, 8 weeks of those and then time to schedule my surgery! I'm really excited!! I do have to lose 13lbs to get my bmi down to safe area! before my surgery! I'm so excited!!!!!!

Hi There - I'm new to this board, but I saw your post.  I have Kaiser too and just finished the 8 week class and had my first meeting with the Weight Management Specialist you see while you're awaiting surgery.  The surgeries for my class of 20 are to be scheduled in October/November so I'm just waiting.  Congratulations, the time will go by fast!

Congratulations on getting your classes. Good luck with getting your bmi down for surgery. Remember it's well worth it!
