NEW HERE
Hello everyone!!!! My name is Vivienne and I am new to this website for like the 2nd or 3rd time. I have wanted to have this surgery for like 6 years but have never had good insurance till now. I just moved to CO from AZ after finishing school to be a surgical technician, and work at a hospital which offers great insurance. Right in the benfits book it says it covers RNY. So I am going to the info meeting on Aug 28 at Penrose, I cant wait to get the process started.
HI Vivienne Glad you found the Colorado forum. Welcome!. Our insurance is great, isn't it? My only wish is that they would cover the lap-band. Oh well maybe it was menat o be that I have the RNY. Keep coming back to these forums. Everyone is great, and give so much supprot and good advice. Ill PM you so we can set up a time to meet that way we can both put a face to the name.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!! I have been "lurking" for a little while now and know there is a ton of information available here, and since I work in surgery, I have a pretty good understanding of the procedure, I just cant wait to get the b all rolling!!! I even called the DR office today and they told me that depending on my ability to get whatever appts i need done, I could possibly get surgery as soon as 2 months from now, and here I was thinking 6 months. WOW
Great to have you here in Colorado. Congratulations on finally being able to have a decent insurance policy. It fires me up when policies don't cover the insurance...it just doesn't make sense. Anyways! Hope your info meeting goes well. Remember there is a support group at Penrose to help however we can. Good luck with everything.
