Okay, I am posting because as someone else mentioned earlier the Colorado Message boards are dead.  I am approved for surgery and hoping to have it in Dec.  I would like to get to know others in Colorado who have had or are having surgery so we can become a close knit group.  Get togethers, chats and what not would be great.  And I hear there are some great angels out there too.  We could all stand to have some great friends that are close by, it makes us feel better to know there are others within reach of us.  So everyone from Colorado, POST!!! and lets get this message board to liven up!!!!!

I agree with you   I had my surgery on Feb 13th and have lost total of 71 pounds as of today.  I feel great  would like to meet some others that have had the surgery.  I had the lap band done and would do it all over again if needed.   good luck and keep in touch

I had my surgery on May 30th.  I got my staples out today and also met with the nut.  Things are going great for me and so far, I am very pleased.  Gayle

How about a Roll Call? I'm Nancy in Colo. Springs, one week out from a simplified bypass (like a mini; one connection instead of two), revised from a failed lap-band. I'd love to know about others in the area, and maybe get together. I'm recovering well, have my first post-op tomorrow, where I hope I will hear I can move on to soft foods and exercise! You can loose the weight before surgery  i lost almost 20 before surgery, I changed the way I was living to the way i would be living after surgery.  So after surgery I was already use to my new life.  You can do it.  hand in there.

I had my surgery 5 years ago and I have lost 153 pounds. I am currently in Florida finallizing our move down here. We are moving to Bradenton florida where I have family here.  I have lived in the Denver area for 24 years and just got tired of it there dealing with the winters and the cold. I love the summers though and eventually we will be there 6 months and in Florida 6 months. I had my surgery with Dr Tillquist at Swedish in 02 I am up to meeting for coffee anytime. I live at Smokey Hill and Danube in Jackson Farms for now. We plan on being in Florida fulltime by the end of July or the beginning of Augest. My cell is 303 726 1802 any questions please call. Hi Ducky, I'm Amy>. I also had surgery with Dr. Brown and had surgery on 9-11-06 and have now lost 156lbs.With mention of the dreaded wait list you must have Kaiser. What a great program they have and they are moving the process along faster and faster all the time. Doing your research in the mean time is a great thing to do. Keep posting Amy
