Anyone in Arvada?

Hello Colorado!  I am soooooooo glad I found OH.com.  I am about 6 weeks out from RNY (hopefully Dr. Chae will agree to go this route and not Lap Band) and have gathered so much information!  I was wondering if anyone was from the West side of Denver?  Everyone send me messages, I feel like the newby!  :-)

Hi. I am in Northglenn and am also a Kaiser patient. I went with Dr. Brown because I wanted to have my tubes tied and St. Joes wouldn't do it. Some of the people in my class used Dr. Chea and loved him.I started my classes in May of 2006,had surgery on Sept,11 2006 and am now down 154 lbs.Hang on its a wild and crazy ride. Amy

Dr Chae was my surgeon.  I love him dearly.  I grew up in Southwest denver but live in Aurora now. Have you gone to Dr Chae's support group yet.  It is great!

Hi, I am from Arvada too. I just found out today that my surgery date is June 27th, yipee!!!! I am totally excited about this and Dr. Chae is my surgeon. I am hoping for the bypass myself but we will make that decision next week. I have been working/thinking about this for 3 years now and I can't believe I am on the downside of all the paperwork, hassle, classes etc...it is finally coming to an end and I can begin my new life on the other side.  This website is a life saver and I highly recommend it to all my friends and family who are with me on this journey as well. If I don't know the answer I know they can find it here or can post a question and get it answered fairly quickly. I am a newbie to all of this and I am enjoying all that OH has to offer!
