I had lapband surgery almost 5 months ago and have only lost about 10 pounds. I have had 4 fills and am now at 2.75 fill amount. I am eating small amounts and sometimes walking. Why have I heard so many success stories and I am not one of them??? HELP

I usually drink bottled water or diet 7-up. I have had an occassional froasty from Wendy's, maybe 4 in 5 months.
Hmmm I have not had my surgery yet but just had my Nut class yesterday and she was saying that with Lapband some people tend to take in more cal than they realize. I do know a bunch a people that have a revision to RNY. Sorry couldn't be of more help maybe someone with more experience could help.

I would suggest doing a diet diary. Go get a small notebook, easy to carry around and every time you eat something write it down. If you are cooking dinner and taking small tastes, write it down. There are many good calorie books and calorie resourses on line. Add up what you've eaten and total the calories at the end of each day.
You might be suprised at how much you are really getting.
Also, does your doc have a nutritionist? I would consult with them.

Mork, gave you tried Fit Day.com? this will help, it keeps track of entake, exercise etc. How big is your band? Mine is a 5 cc and im was at 2.2 until I reached my goal. Im nearly 5 years out and you have to watch everything you put into your mouth...I never get hungry, I crave more, and take a bit of what im craving and have been successful. I reached goad in a year. Also measure monthly and if you dont lose pounds you might lose inches and it alll adds up to a successful journey!! Good luck and Im here if you need to vent. I just heard about a lap bander who had the same problem. Not the food, or the drink, but the fact that the band was overfilled was the problem. Check with another dr. who specializes in Lap-banding. Hope this helps. Sentosha
A friend of mine had this same problem it was not what he was eating or drinking but the fact the doctor thought he used the correct size band on him but it was just a hair off. The doctor when in and took off the old band and put the new band on and now he has the correct fill and is losing weight. Also use the fitday.com idea, I am 4 1/2 years out and still use it.
