Finally surgery

Only three years. April 30 th is when i have my r n y. Now i feel overwhelmed. I just keep sitting there thinking. All the stuff to buy (protien, vitamins etc)

Oh I know the feeling! Mine is the 2nd at Skyridge and I keep thinking about all the little things that need to get done. Vitamins, protein drinks, laying out the kids clothes so my husband doesn't dress them like orphan children while I am in the hospital, getting my hair colored and toes painted! Hehe a lot to think about but still exciting at the same time! Where are you having yours done? Lori

I will be having mine in ft. collins. I am going to go to skyridge for their support group on the 12th. i had my appointment today to get the surgery date. i can't believe that it is in 5 weeks. and the list of stuff too get. My kids are all grown and i have 6 grandkids. so i do not have too worry about anything. are you going to or have you already bought certain vitamins and such

No I Haven't yet because I have a nutrition class on the 25th and just kinda waiting to see what is said there but I do have some idea of what I want to get just by reading everyone's posts. My kids play a game on the computer called webkinz where they get other kids to be their friends and my seven yr old said oh look mom just like our game.! We will just have to be called the FF gang (fat friends gang hehe) Lori

i hate the fact that i want a cigarette. i am doing good though. i have eaten so many cinnamon drops. can't wait too see you at support. nik

Congratulations Nikki! I've been working on my WLS since 2005 and I just found out last Thursday that Lumenos (my insurance company) finally approved me for surgery! I'm so excited and scared at the same time. I feel like I've suddenly forgotten all I learned working towards this point... help! Did anyone else get their approval letter and then panic like me?
