anyone more than 5 years post roux n y?
Hi I am 5 years out today. I lost 150 pounds and I can eat like a normal person. I dont eat to many carbs as they bind me up. I dont drink alchohol as I am allergic to it and if I do it wil send me to ther emergency room in a heartbeat.
I cant tell you about the single life as I have been married to my husband for 27 years. My surgery affected my social outings because they done always involve food. I find other things to do and see other than restaurants. Food isnt a major part of my life anymore.. Carla Klein/ Centennial Co/ Chicago Il for now
Hi again Renea. Before I started on this journey, I had all about the surgery and then met in person with someone who is almost 3 years out from her RNY with Kaiser. She is also single and works as a pharmacy tech with Kaiser at one of their pharmacies. It seems now like she has a really full life and even has a boyfriend whereas she never did before she lost the weight. It seems to me like she still sticks to proteins first when she eats and eats very healthy and small portions to keep her weight off even when eating out. I had lunch with her at Chipotle in October before our clases started, and She had her bottled water in her bag to have with her chicken tacos and took home the leftovers. I can see if she might meet with you as your concerns are exactly what she has gone through already. Let me know if you are interested.
