HR PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT STUDY (Local Government)

Hello everyone... My name is Vera and I had RNY bypass surgery in 12/04. I am 2 years out now, and have lost approximately -112 pounds. I am happy, stable and have dropped 8 sizes! Wow! Now I have this terrific new job, and at the same time, like each of you, starting a new life, completely!!! In addition, I am completing my Doctorate in Education, (Organizational Leadership Development), and am beginning my dissertation. It would be a pleasure to speak with those of you in the Human Resource field, specifically in a Local Government setting. I am researching Performance Management systems; the objectives and outcomes of PM and how PM has optimized employee performance. I am interested in the design of your PM model, and the rational for development/selection of competency types. Hi Vera, My name is Carla Klein and I dont know to much about HR performance but I can tell you that I had a discrimination from a job that I had for 8 years and HR wouldnt back me up. I worked for Health one in Colorado I am in chicago right now living and doing hair at the hair cuttery. I worked at Health one for 7 years before they fired me for being a better person while I was fat. They hired a director that was around lets say 32 and she thought she was all it and wanted everyone that was 40 and over to leave. She was making it hard for everyone. She told me that I was a better person when I was fat and that I had a better personality then. She didnt even know me then. I have lost 150 pounds. I started working there in 96 and got fired 02-04. I would still be there if that didnt happen. She got fired recently and it took 4 years to get herout. I am a new person now cause I went back to school at the age of 50 and now have my cosmetology certificate and am liscensed in Illinois for now. Hope this helps you. Carla Klein
