I am almost five yea...
Dede, I've read that yes it does, and no it doesn't!
In any case, is there a "back on track" type of support group in your area? Are you sticking to your docs orders relative to amount of food per meal? Don't know if it helps, but my docs protocol is 1 cup of food per meal once you're a year out and forever more.
There is a back on track program here in Colorado Springs but that's somewhat of a haul from Littleton.
Take care,
liz
Thank you Liz for responding to my question. I had not heard of the 1 cup per meal after a year and forever more. That was something I had not discussed with my surgeon. I'm by no means overwieght again. But am still concerned with what I have gained. I started out at 356 & 5' 9" day of surgery. I am 165 currently. Stabled out at 145-150 after my 2 year anniversary and felt good there. As I said have gained approx. 20 lbs in the last 1 and a half years. Diet and exercise do not seem to work either. I do not know what to do. I will check into local support groups and try the 1 cup method. Do you have snacks as well? Thanks again. Dede
Dede,
I to am 5 years out and I haven't gained anything back. I am stable at 140 to 143 at any given time. I eat about 1/2 to 3/4 cutp at at time and stay with protien most of the time. If I eat to many carbs I get constipated and clogged up.
I started out at 267 and I am 5ft 4 inches tall.

I also try not to snack to much
