Panic city
I had my surgery Jan 3rd. Since I came home I have decided to only weigh myself once a week. Last Monday I weighed 245 which is pretty good, since I weighed 253 on the day of surgery. But today I weighed myself and I weigh 246.5. How is that possible? For the first week or more I drank nothing but clear liquids. Gatorade, broth and juice. Four days ago I graduated to full liquids. Creamed soups. Cream of chicken, and cream of tomatoe out of the can. Campbells. Now I'm up a pound and a half. How does this happen? I go to my surgeon tomorrow, and I guess I will get some answers then, but I truly did not expect to see the scales start climbing on the other side of surgery. At least not this soon! I swear to God, I am follwing orders to the letter. Help!
Don't panic. It's jus****er weight. There's always some flux as your body seeks balance. It's soooo easy to retain water weight -- a little extra salt, and there you are! It'll be fine. The weight will come off. I guarantee! Nothing happens in a straight line. I always saw small variations as I lost weight. It's really normal for water weight to come on and off -- especially for women. Where you are in your monthly cycle could be a contributing factor, too.
Okay? Take it easy! It's nothing. Keep up the good work. You're doing just fine!
