Your Big Day is coming up soon!!!! I am so excited for you. In the days before the surgery, try to find some things to keep yourself busy, but not stressed. Pamper yourself. Whatever you enjoy doing that you constantly put off because you don't have the time, take the time and do it. Buy yourself some tacky tabloids or crossword puzzles and word searches for the hospital, if these things interest you. Make sure you have chap stick and other personal items that might make your stay there easier. When you get through the surgery you will probably sleep a lot that first day, but as soon as you can get up and start moving around. Walking is the best thing for you and the sooner the better. Just make sure your surgeon okays it, but as a rule that is the first thing they ask of you. You'll be on clear liquids for awhile, but when they move you on to full liquids, cream of chicken and cream of tomato soups are really satisfying. I melt a slice of cheese in a cup of creamed soup for a little extra protein and a little extra taste. Cheesey tomato is good, with american cheese, and creamy chicken is good with a slice of swiss cheese. You will do fine, and I will be waiting to hear how things go. Whoooooooooooohoooooooooooo! CONGRATULATIONS!
