ok can i just say thank you to everyone who helped me with the let down of a denial from tricare. Well, I am having sugery and will be on the weight loss train by Feburary of 2007. I am going to Fort Carson in Colorado Springs and that will be how this AIRFORCE wife gets hers! I am kind off in shock that it was so easy. Lost to do before the surgery can be put on the calender but I can jump threw the few hoops they have and call it good. Can't wait can't WAIT

ps....i just had my tummy tuck & breast reduction/lift, so when the time comes......don't give up on that either!!! tricare is a wonderful thing!!! lol

We've been chatting about my upcoming surgery but I have a few questions today about tri-care. My sisters husband is retired military and so she is wanting to have lap band through Ft Carson. Can you tell me what steps she needs to take and what your surgeons name is? What all did they ask you to do before you could submit the paperwork to insurance, and how much will she need to come up with out of pocket. Her husband retired as a sgt so they are on a fixed income and would have to save up. Thanks for any info you can give. I am having my surgery Jan 3 and am so excited. I am on my pre-op liquid fast already and everyone was so bummed that I cannot eat over Christmas but I can do this standing on my head. I've been waiting for so long and I can do whatever they ask me to do. Godd luck w/ yours and keep me posted as you go along. If I can help you in any way, let me know.
