My Surgery is Thursday...

I'm so eager to get there and finally move to the losers bench. All thats left to do is the pre-op consult and labs. They are scheduled Wed. and the surgery Thurs. If you take a look at my profile, you'll see its taken a long time for me to get here. But the important thing now is I'm here and I'm ready. I won't come back home until after my first post op because my surgeon is 4 hours away and they want me to stay close until that all important visit. So I'll spend a few days with a dear friend. Hi, Shirley, My Surgery is on Thursday too. Are you getting nervous. I am. It jus thit me tonight that it is finally happening. I hope all goes well with you. were is your surgery going to be at?

My faith in God is very strong so I'm really not nervous. But do I live alone and I hate having to be so far from home and in someone else's home (a very sweet and dear friend). At home I spend part of the night in my hospital bed and part of the night in a recliner so I'll definately miss that freedom. Since I live SE of Pueblo and my surgery is in Fort Collins I won't be home until Dr. Pettine see's me for my first follow up. So for me its part of the "cost" of having the surgery.

Congrats on having your surgery I know things will go good for you now. My prayers are with you as you take this big step to be on the losing side now. I sure know I feel so much better now and as you know I still have a long ways to go to get to goal. But it takes one day at a time.

I am 5 months out as of Monday and down 112# so you know what you can look forward to! There are bumps along the way but have faith & you will be fine! Sharon

Hey Shirley, I am so excited for you! By the time you read this you will have reached the other side....but in a good way!
