Newbie

I just joining this website based on recommendations from a friend in New Jersey. I am very nervous about gastric bypass however your comments and profiles are very encouraging. I saw Dr. Snyder yesterday, he is a very wonderful person. Right now it looks like my insurance covers this. The paperwork will be submitted after my psychological evaluation. (Hope I can pass that one lol) Bryan

Hi Bryan, The Colorado forum is pretty dead. Just wanted to say welcome. I've talked with several people who went to Dr. Snyder and heard good things. I'm 10 months out from my RNY which was performed by Dr. Chae who is awesome. I'm feeling great and am so glad I did this. Didi

Good to see you're getting in here and getting some support. I just left Longmont in 3/04 and while I was there I had a friend that had her surgery done by Dr. Snyder. she thought he was wonderful and he does have a good support and educational program. I wish you well on your journey and all I can say is relax... you may be surprised at how many good folks are out here to support you.

Bryan, Welcome to the site and Congrats!!! What type of surgery are you looking at having? I am 5 months post-op and down 112#, I had a RNY done by Dr. Thomas Brown. The surgery was not the hard part. It is the life change that takes your strength & determination! All is doable if it's what you want. Best wishes on your journey and keep us informed. Sharon
