I had surgery on Monday (lap RNY). Except for some minor problems with nausea everything went fine. We stayed in a local hotel for two night, we live five hours away, came home yesterday. It was so good to sleep in my own bed!! Thanks for everyone's support, any more words of wisdom for getting through the first few weeks?

Congratulations and welcome to the "losing side"!!! The one piece of advise that I would give you is to make sure that you follow the diet and exercise orders that you've been given by your surgeon's office. It's very important that you get in all of your protein and fluids. Also, you don't want to have something that could hurt you...so make sure that when you do start back on soft foods that you are eating what you're supposed to. Again, congratulations and glad to hear that you're doing well. Maria O.

Thanks Maria, for the tips. I must admit that I am starting to get tired of the protein shakes, everything tastes too sweet. But only a few more days before pureed, so will hang in there.
