Hello, I have to begin the clear liquid diet tomorrow and was wondering if this is jus****er. The doctor's office is closed and of course I just now thought about this. Could anyone help me here?? My doctor is Dr. Snyder. Thanks.

Allison, Clear liquids means "anything you can see through" as per the book you get from Dr. Snyder's nutritionist Kim. In prep for my surgery I used broths such as chicken, beef, veggie etc. Crystal light and white grape juice in addition to the water. I also ate jellos of various flavors as essentially it is "clear" liquid too. I am 6 wks. out and doing very well you will do GREAT too! Good luck. Cindy L.

You should also be able to include 'clear' lifesavers (sugar-free hehe), and sugar-free jolly ranchers. The crunch is a nice thing on the clear liquids diet. Or and the butterscotch ones. I am not suggesting you gorge yourself on candy, sugar-free or otherwise, but when the need to crunch something kills you and ice isn't cutting it, these are a better choice than eating "food". Ya know? (((HUGS)))
