Dr. Tillquist?
Julie,
Did you have any problems with his receptionist? I started this whole thing like 3 months ago, and I really feel I am still waiting becuase of her. She has lost faxs from myself, and faxs from my regular Dr. She NEVER answers the phone. I have left messages sometimes up to three days in a row and never hear anything back. When I do talk to her, she never has my information available and always says she will call back, then never does.
If I werent so close to the insruance claim, I'd switch Dr.'s just because their desk service is horrible. My husband is concerned if I have an emergency , what happens then?
Did this happen to you? If so what advice do you have to ship this woman into shape and make her understand that I am VERY eager to get the move on. I'm about ready to march in and say "If my claim isn't sent in the next week, I'm going to change Dr.s"

p.s. I have long since taken the nutrician class, psych evaluation, dr records, dr letters....everything I need to submit to my insurance. I even called the insurance myself to ask them for tips about getting approved. I told the receptionist these tips and she contiually forgets what I need the Dr. to specifically write.

I had a lap RNY with Dr. Tillquist on May 1, 2006 and have been very pleased with him as a surgeon and CJ is wonderful. I agree that his receptionist is a problem though. I also left messages that were not returned and it seemed like she was less than anxious to help me. The only solution I have found for the problem with getting return calls has been to make a pain of myself and leave multiple messages until I get a return call.
I am scheduled for my surgery on Sept. 6th with Dr. Tillquist. I have also had the problem getting my calls returned from Eileen. She has seem to have been getting a little better over the last month. CJ is also someone I have talked to also. She has called me back the same day. Anyway, I am glad you are doing well.
