Caloric Intacke Question...Please help!
I am nearly 1 year out from surgery and have lost 180 punds....but slowing down rapidly. (Which is expected) I do not know how much to eat and feel that I am eating too much. Can everyone please let me know answers to the following:
How much exercise you are doing
How many calories you are taking
How long it has been since your surgery
Any fantastic things you have found to eat that meet dietary restrictions.
Thank you all in advance for your help.....
Hi Simmone~
I'm about 10 months out and I've lost close to 100 pounds. I've been told not to lose anymore grrrrrrrrr. I had my doctors appointment on Wednesday and I was told to be eating 1200-1500 calories a day but that is in order to maintain my weight loss. I too feel as though I'm eating way too much sometimes. Are you keeping a food journal? I keep one in the kitchen.I also have on my fridge, where I can see it..is the triangle of success..on one corner is drink at least 64oz of water..2)exercise 3-5x's week at least 20 min..3)protein first.
How much exercise~ I have a goal of doing 20 minutes 3-5x's a week but lately I've been doing 5-7 days a week for 40 minutes. I usually ride my stationary bike.
Here's a sample of what I eat in a day~
Breakfast~ eat 1 packet of weight control oatmeal or 1cup of skim milk
snack~ piece of fruit or vegetable
Lunch~ protein bar (they have 32 grams of protein in them and I stay full for a long time and I don't dump) and a piece of cheese
snack~ 1 serving of trail mix
Dinner~ one chicken breast tenderloin with vegetables or chili or hamburger and rice
snack~ sugar free pudding or fruit or vegetable
If I get too hungry or if I can't fight off a sugar urge..I keep protein balls in my freezer and just eating one of those really takes the edge off!! I also love ice cream so I allow myself once a week to have fat free pineapple sherbert. I also don't eat any bread, I have found that when I do, I end up getting hungry real quick!
