Dr. Snyder people in CO
Hi Cynthia,
Dr. Snyder wants his patients (pre-op) to eat six small meals a day...mostly protein and low in fat and carbohydrates. He says that "if it white then don't eat it". So no sugar, flour, rice, corn, potatoes...etc. However, raw veggies are very good and those like broccoli are a good source of complex carbohydrates (the good kind). Oh...and always drink LOTS of water. It's actually really good to start doing this pre-op because you will be eating a similar diet post-op...a ways out after surgery of course.
Good luck!
Maria
