Yes, I know. Hoping we can meet face to face someday. How about you any location ideas?
My question is this..... Is this board Interested in doing this kind of thing like years past?
And Any suggestions for locations for future trips?
I so enjoy organizing this and camping is even more fun when we go. So I VOTE YES, but that is just me. So let me know what you think.
PS I know this event gets planed 6 months in advance but that is the only way to get camping spots for everyone. So Please let me know. Whether you come or not what is your Opinion?
Special message for the old time lurkers..... I would like to make this year a reunion of sorts. What do you think ?
HERE WE GO AGAIN.
August 13-15
(this is posted early because the reservations usually fill up by march)
Join us for the 4th ANNUAL Cali Losers Camping trip. OPEN TO EVERYONE North South and Central Cali.
Silverwood Lake (info and links below)
Ok campers here it is. Celest, Gary and I are planning the
2010 4th ANNUAL CALI LOSERS CAMPOUT.
We will have a potluck Friday and Saturday nites(more on this later). Those with Boats and water toys will have a lake to bring them out to play. AND this year the great big grassy area, can you say frisbee, croquet, badminton, lawndarts, volleyball and after dark? Karaoke????? Dancing????????
The lawn area around sites 59-72 is Perfect for playing and socializing as a group connecting us together yet still providing the privacy of individual campsites. I have included a map of the sites so you can see what I mean. You can book any site # but the group I posted are the ones we thought we would start off with. Last year sites filled up quickly when we started booking by March they were almost booked solid and the year before we ran out so I would like to suggest that you plan ahead and book ASAP that would keep us altogether too. If you decide by Camp time that you just cannot make it, I will try to find someone to buy your site. Double up with others , But you wont want to miss this. You can go here to make your reservations
http://www.reserveamerica.com/campgroundDetails.do?subTabInd ex=0&contractCode=ca&parkCode=silvNOW is the time to consider this trip! The campground is booking up fast this year. We tried to book for July and it was full. Dont miss out on ONE FANTASTIC TIME!
The best sites are the ones that border a great big lawn and they are numbered 59 thru 72 this is were we are. Any other spot is great too it will be easy for us to get together for pot luck and fun.
Sites 81-89 are on another loop just to the left of our group see the map below. These we did not check out so I have no idea how good they are. But if you get one of them you can come on over the the lawn and HANG and play.
Book now and find you will have several months to find "ROOMIES" to share with.!! You can also cancel your reservation up to 7 days prior if something comes up and you cant make it with only a $7.50 cancelation fee.
SO If you are planning on coming out for the fun you gotta book quickly. If you book a spot please let us know so we can keep track . Thank you HAPPY CAMPERS

I started this 3 years ago and always get such a great response I wanted to do it again this year. Post your favorite holiday memory to share with us. I will be bumping this post up a few times between now and Christmas so we can enjoy all the great and wonderful stories.
Here is mine, I know this is a repeat memory but this is one that has been the most meaningful,
My favorite has not changed so here it is again for the new folks and everyone
PLEASE SHARE YOURS:
Growing up every Christmas morning we would go to my Grandparents. Their house was a huge 675 sq feet and here is where they had raised 6 children. Imagine if you will all 6 children plus spouses, grandchildren plus spouses and great grandchildren. 45 or so would enjoy Christmas breakfast together shoulder to shoulderStarting at 7am the crowd would start arriving. The first to arrive would start cooking breakfast. Full on eggs ham bacon biscuts toast coffee, you get the idea. After you ate you took your turn at the stove. Plates would be passed over heads and under tables, thru the windows and out the back door. Everyone ALWAYS showed up and there was always more than enough for everyone the more we ate the more food there seemed to be. It was hot and everyone bumping into each other. The hugs were never ending and the noise, a loud roar. Grandpa would spend the day looking around with his silly smirk and beam at the mob scene he had created. Grandma would radiate with the love she felt so deeply for each and everyone of us. after breakfast came the presents. The tiny front room would be filled to the ceiling with gifts for everone. Grandpa would shop every year and pick out the gifts for each of us. One year while I was in my twenties, he bought me my first power drill. He loved the fact that I worked on my own car and had asked him to teach me wielding, (which he never did, he said that a pretty young lady should never be burned) yet he was so proud of my ambition. Grandma would always hand make something for each of us. Imagine if you will 45 handmade bedsize quilts, or 45 handmade dolls. Each one lovingly crafted with us in mind. She saved old clothes and used the fabric in theses crafts. She made me a doll in a gown made from the fabric of my aunts wedding dress. I have each doll she has made me to this day. I hold dear those memories, the first 30 years of my life were embedded with the love of my grandparents, though they are gone now, I know that they are with us as we carry on our version of the tradition with my own family.
