Topic: RE: Kaiser WLS Riverside Change
I'm not aware of a second 3 hour orientation...what the heck! I don't have one and I'm sorry they are putting you through more hoops. I have heard the Fontana Kaiser WLS is swamped. It seems Kaiser changes the rules as they go along specific to the area. I've read on some fourms that people from your area choose surgeons from LA to San Diego to get a quicker surgery date. I wish I could be more help...if I remember I will ask my WLS Doctor on friday and see what he says. I don't think it's fair. Did you know that Kaiser in central ca. and San Francisco have no classes or anything the last I checked. Not fair : ( Anyway, I'm hoping the have surgery by Feb-Mar. Good luck to you on your journey.

I went to the first 2 hr orientation where they discuss all weightloss options. Then had to see Dr. Murali to be accepted for bariatic. Now I have a 3 hour bariatic surgery orientation class on Friday. What do they do there and do you know if this is the last step before 12 weeks options class?

At oreintation they made us fill out a booklet with our info and time preference for classes. It took about three weeks for them to get back to me. So you should be getting a call soon for your 12week options class. I know it's frustrating. My classes start on Sept.21rst in Corona. Good luck on your journey.

Topic: MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!
Hello Members,

On a daily basis we get calls from members in desperate need of surgeons that will accept Medicaid and or Medicare for Bariatric surgery.  It breaks our hearts when we have to say "we don't know of any surgeons in your state we can refer you to".

Can you please help us? If you know of any surgeons in your state that accepts Medicaid and or Medicare, will you list their:

Name

If they accept Medicare and or Medicaid

Phone number

Facility

Address

This list will remain here for our members to access and use.

Thank you so much!!!
