good job on your weight loss. keep up the great work and enjoy the honeymoon!
I have had the pleasure of meeting him and knowing a number of his patients, revisions and his virgin surgical WLS interventions. His reputation doing THE MOST COMPLEX OF REVISIONS IS WORLD RENOWNED! You unlikely could not be better served!! Yes, frankly there are a few others, A VERY FEW practitioners at peer level world wide.
Might I suggest you post this on the DS (Duodenal Switch) forum here, regardless of what revision you are considering. Lots of Post-Ops of his there, including man, many revisions.
Please advise if I can offer any further contribution

I have been looking into which surgeon I should use for the vertical sleeve .
starting with a list of in network approved doctors from my insurance - blue shield
but they all seem to be good. they have good reviews on here, online...
right now i am debating between Dr. Carson Liu, Dr. Jeremy Korman and Dr. Peter Lebort
i went to see/get info my Lebort and the staff seems great but its about an hour and 15 minute drive for me
Dr. Liu i can walk to and Dr. Korman is about 20 minutes away.
I have an appt to see Dr. Korman
but how do u decide which surgeon to use? they all seem to have a lot of experience, they all have great reviews, they all have media coverage, they all sound good on their website..

I have a few questions...I am a post rou-n -y gastric bypass patient, 5 years out. I lost 80 lbs and have gained back 40. Nothing I do seems to help me get back on track, by the way I am 53 years young, my diabetes is completely controlled and that is what I am most happy with. However, I am now anemic and tired all the time, I take all my vitamins and iron on a schedule, but am still feeling this way...now to my questions?
Has anyone ever tried Omnitrition and used their hCG drops for weight loss after being post op from gastric by pass? If so, did it work for you?
Would love to hear from any of you, please email me at [email protected]

The drops are a total scam. Complete and total scam. Only the injection has the actual pregnant woman urine. The drops have zero.
Just skip the drops and go for the 500 calories, the results will be exactly the same. :o(

I had Lap Band surgery in 2008, through Blue Cross at New Reflections in Norwalk, Ca. I am not happy with my results. I want to have gastric bypass but I currently do not have insurance. I am going to apply for coverage from any company that covers the surgery. I need to know what insurance to apply for though. Can you give me some ideas of who to go with? Insurance wise or dr. wise. I am thinking of going with Dr. Milton Owens. If you have any info please let me know. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
It doesn't work that way, any insurance company would go broke doing that. You can apply for a private policy but if you are still overweight nobody is going to take you anyway. Also, private ins policies do not cover WLS. You have to admit, no ins co coud afford that, everyone who wanted WLS would buy a policy, have surgery, and dump the policy thus, you need to have a group policy, such as through an employer.
There is always self pay in Mexico. IF you do your research it is a great option at a fraction of the cost. MOST self pays do go to MX because most group policies through an employer do not buy the additional WLS rider.
