Dr Billy in Oxnard is wonderful I had my surgery with him last July. No complaints excellence demeanor and his,office staff is on top of,everything for you regarding insurance and everything else. I had to drive about 115 miles to see him and it was worth it. He is very informed,and kind.

Also private pay insurance companies DO cover bariatric surgery. I have BC of Ca and they covered my surgery.

In 2014 thanks to Obama pre-existing conditions will no longer be a factor in insurance. Obesity being a pre-existing condition. Hopefully, you can sort something before then, but if not 2014 is only 6 months away. I would follow up on the advise to checking with the dr and see what they take.

I'm not sure of your plan, but I had VGS and they covered it, but only specific drs. No one in my town was approved; I had to drive 115 miles each way for each visit.

Hello I got my Date for my surgery July 16 2013 so many different emotions just wondering if anyone has/had Dr Woodbury in Santa Rosa Ca as their surgeon sorry if this is not in the right place I am new to this website but great info and very helpful.
