Hi Ladies,
I'm looking for a new primary care physician/pain management doctor who is knowledgeable about post-op bariatric patients.
Can't seem to find one who can help with dosage/absorbtion issues.
Anyone have a doctor they really like?
Thank you!
Hello!
The SF/Bay Area WLS Meetup Group would like to extend an invitation to the OH community
On 12/7/13, we will be hosting our 1st Annual Holiday Celebration and Clothing Exchange. The event will be held in downtown San Francisco from 12:00-2:00 PM and will include a WLS friendly meal.
This will be a casual and fun opportunity to meet some new people and celebrate 2013! It's also an opportunity to clean out your closet and possibly score some new clothes in return!
Please contact Tara Griffith at [email protected] if you are interested in attending, have questions, or would like to make a donation. You may also learn more about our group at www.meetup.com/SF-WLS-GROUP.
Thanks a bunch!
I live in So-Cal and did some consults here but ultimately decided to go to Mexico with Dr. Sauceda...I did not like the approach that the surgeons here wanted to take with my highly damaged body...I dont think they had any real substantive experience with major WL/excess skin. Beverly Hills is good for people who want little tweaks here and there.
I loved my Mexico experience, the care I got....I would do it again in a heartbeat (and will finish the rest of my PS some day with the same doc).

What a coicindence I found his web page the other day but it was the 360bodylift web site and i liked the result. I am less than those people so not muchneeds to be done......but i do plan on making an appointment with him. I been doing a lot of research....even beveryhillsplasticsurgerycenters has a lot of surgeons. I been reading about MD. what is FACS.....bored certified. where they work......how long and their specialities. I went to a local one and he wanted to charge me basically a brand new mustang cobra and he only had 5 year experience.......and works with another doctor. he told me that doctor name. i wrote it down. Did a check. He came from florida and had a law suit that he settled. Plus this doctor was not bored certified from plastic surgeon (which is important) he said he filled forms and should be in november. but he he said something i did not like.......for a five year doctor he wanted to do a whole body lift. Breast, arms, thighs, tummy tuck, thighs, and back rolls he calls it in one time and procedure is about 5 hours long in ONE TIME. Is that right for a diabetic (but controlled) to do all that. i didnt feel comfortable.
You went to mexico. How was the procedure. what you have done? Are you happy and did it cost a lot and how long ago did you do it? Someone else recommend mexico somewhere else.......but I come from a family of medical field. One sister worked in cosmetic surgery center for 10 years. (she assisted and she was the botox girl that injected). Plus both sister had implants. Fortunantly. I was a size FULL C at 13years. Sisters where A's. Even grandma I found out had implants. Mom is a B. what happened to me....Was I first i first in line to get boobs when I was being made? after all I am the first born.
Dr. Katzen is often at ObesityHelp events, he seems very nice and I know many that have gone to him and are very happy.

I went to Mexico for my plastics.
Start tracking your food/drink intake and exercise on one of those free websites or Apps right away and make an appointment to see your surgeon. You want to rule out any underlying causes for the weight gain and get a new plan in place for moving forward... take the print out of your tracking with you it will help him/her get an idea of what if any changes need to be made.
Don't put it off. Dr's have heard it all, seen it all, let them check all is well and help get you pointed in the right direction again.
Best wishes!!

I had a RuNY 9/2010. I had lost 100 lbs but now have gained back 90 lbs. I went through a lot in the past 3 years with the loss of my mother, depression, a family that has no idea how to be supportive and a husband that retired early and now is home 24/7. I know those have all been excuses but 3 years have gone by so fast I have no idea where the weight came from.
What I do know is weight began when I stopped being accountable on OBHelp and logging my weight and food. I guess I lost my focus on me. I know this is step one to losing weight.
Any other ideas? How have you kept off the weight?
