Topic: RE: Been WAY to long!!!

I remember you from this board.  Didn't you come to the Long Beach support group as well?  Anyway - I'm almost 5 years out and have gained weight coupled with an alcohol addition.  I came to the board to see if there still a meet up.  But it seems as if this board has been abandoned. I'm going to request you now...

Would love to co-support...

Topic: Been WAY to long!!!

Hi All..

So it has been way to long since I have been on this board. I am 6 years out of RNY and am having a huge melt down. I have put on about 50 to 60lbs. I really wish someone would have fully explained to me that after 5 years it is really easy to gain. Now I am looking at 2014 as a different kind of year. I so want to get back to my size I was. 145 not 190. So I will around alot. I hope for support and to be support as well.

Live everyday like there is no tomorrow!!

Topic: RE: OT: Good areas to live around Sacramento

I live in Folsom...it has that small town feel, yet you are close enough if you want to go into the City of Sacramento.  I also lived in Roseville for over 20 years, which I would whole heartedly put my stamp on!  I like living closer to the foothills than the City of Sacramento. Roseville, Rocklin, Loomis, Folsom, Lincoln are near enough if you work in Sacramento.  Hey, I even have friends who commute from Auburn and Placerville areas.  I wish you luck, Sacramento is a great location and is close enough to travel to San Francisco, or up the Sierras if you are a camping or snow bunny. Just remember though, we get up into the century mark in the summer, dry heat...but we have the Sierra Nevada mountains to escape to, or perhaps to the coast!

does anyone know if Medi-cal covers lap band surgery? If so how does the process work?

I won't actually be on Medical until the first of the year, so it'll be a while until I'm approved. The health plan I'm on now doesn't cover WLS, so luckily I'm getting switched over to Medical.
