Topic: Tremendous Tuesday is Upon Us.
Good Morning Cali Friends,
Welcome to tremendous Tuesday! Hope your Monday went by without a hitch. Busy day at work for me, and it looks like it's going to be another long one today. I'll be there at 7 and who knows what time I'll get home. We're converting an old Payroll/HR program and we're trying to get everyone's paycheck right for the end of the month. Folks get a little cranky if their checks are wrong, me included LOL.
Here's wishing you the best of everything today.
Hugs,
Barb

Topic: RE: Filing a grievance with Kaiser
I understand your reluctance to sit in the classes, it just seems you want the surgery NOW. I am currently in the Options program and I have to compare the Kaiser process with that of my sister, who had lap band surgery outside of Kaiser. She had the surgery with little preparation, was released a couple of hours after the surgery and sent home. Support groups were recommended, but not pushed. Her success has been very limited. I am glad that Kaiser is requiring so much preparation for WLS.....I want to know what to expect, and how to be successful. O dpn't want to fail at this!! Best of luck whatever you do......

Topic: DS support group meeting in San Jose
Yes, it's that time of the month again...no, not THAT time of the month, it's time for our support group meeting!
Anyone interested in learning more about the duodenal switch, the wls with the best results of any presently available wls for percentage excess weight loss, maintaining that weight loss, and resolution of most comorbidities is welcome, and your support person is also welcome. Come learn about the DS in a friendly, casual atmosphere from people who live with it every day.
The meeting is Wednesday, from 6-8 pm at the theater building of Hoover Junior High School at 1635 Park Ave. in San Jose. Or maybe it's called Hoover Middle School, I can never remember. There is no fee and no committment involved.
Every person considering wls should be well informed about all the options, not just the ones your insurer covers, or that the doc your insurer sends you to prefers. This is a great opportunity to learn more. Come join us!
