Thank you so much Lynn,

Sadly it has been a LONG time since I have had a birthday worth remembering.
The submissive thing - will NEVER happen with me.  I am who I am and thats all that I am (thank you Popeye)

So for now I am keeping my head down and plugging forward to my appt tomorrow!  I will deal with everything else one day at a time!

"Submissive"????  Puh-leeze.

If you can get some inspiration from some form of religion, that's great, but YOU are the only one
that can take care of YOU.

As for birthday blues--I just picked one I had a good time at and celebrated that one over and over
for YEARS!!  I don't know how long I celebrated being 34 y.o., but it was a good year so I kept it.

(That's the year I dyed my hair ash blonde, learned to sail, and went to Acapulco, Mexico, by myself!)

I spent hours looking at the "Before & After" photos on this site, reading the blogs, etc.  Very inspiring.

Best wishes,

Thanks for the responses!   Strange how exciting it is to lose weight, how great you feel, and the compliments........then all of a sudden the droopy sags bring on depression!

I'm a Dr. Suh patient and there are plenty more in this area. Myself and many others had Kaiser too, with Dr. Suh doing our RNY surgery.  He puts on support groups in Corona, Mureitta, and Relands. Currently there is also one in Hesperia, but a new meeting in Rancho Cucamonga may start in the nest couple of month--and this would cancel the Hesperia meeting.  His site suhabriatric.com has a listing of his support groups, locations and dates. My up - I have my surgery consult tomorrow

my down- people are trying to change who I am.  One even went as far as telling me I needed to go to church to become more submissive and to bite my tongue.  (NOT going to happen - either one)
And #2 feeling the pre birthday blues - BLAH

Trying to keep my head above water and focus on what is important right now- ME and my surgery date!

Good Morning,

Another week already. I'm still off from work, but I do go back on Wednesday. It has been wonderful being off. Got a lot done around the house, and got to relax some too. Did some yard work over the weekend. My back yard still needs major help, but getting there very slowly. I finally bought an umbrella for the back yard. I have no shade back there durning the hottest part of the day. I sat outside all afternoon, it was great. Amazing what a bit of shade will do for the tempature. I have a doctors appointment later today, but other then that, I don't plan on doing anything. I hope you all have a fabulous day!!!

Hello-

I don't think I've posted here before. I live in Southern California, I'm a Kaiser patient and I'm having th e RNY surgery in one month.  Just wanted to check in and see if there was anyone from my neck of the woods.  :-)

Oh my surgeon is Dr. Suh.
