Hi there!! lol- I must admit that your comment rang close to my heart because I too, got 'hated' on by that RNY board!! My name is Raquel, and I just had RNY one week ago and so I came in for support and or to find out about others with similar cir****tances... The chat rooms are very odd, and so... I decided to just give up coming here all together-- Have you had your surgery yet? How is it going?

Most of the feedback on RNY board is OK, except for a select few. I've seen some from deactivated members, and then there are those posts "with attitude" from non RNY wt loss surgeries. Each surgery has pros and cons, and you are not and idiot when you and your surgeon chose one surgery over another. There was another example of your topic again this AM. I agree, there are far less posts her than on the RNY or Main forum, but probably less attitude in responses. DAVE

Thanks. I think that Barb offered to take them, but I could give them to Goodwill myself, but I really want to give them to someone who is on this journey, so I can pay forward what people have given to me. One of my friends from Dr. Jossart's support group has given me lots of clothing (and she and I have the same color preferences!) and I know it gives her pleasure when she sees that I enjoy wearing the clothing that she gave me. I would like to do the same.

Usually Barb takes the extras to Goodwill so you don't have to bring them home.

But I have to say, with that group, a lot doesn't get taken. I started just bringing a few items and that works better. So even with Barb there to take your extras, 11 bags is probably going to overwhelm us. LOL

I hope you find someone to take them. I gave away a bunch to a local gal I met on OH when I was first losing and I was so happy to know they were going to someone who would appreciate them.

Hey all! Man...some heated posts in the last couple daysin the RNY board. All I want is helpful advice from people who have gone through...or are going through the same thing as me...without attitude or snottyness! & I got ripped a new one! Dang! I thought that's what this place is for! How is the CA board? any better? ;o)

You know I was on a couple of freecycle.com sites but I was getting soooooo much e-mail from them that I had to put a block on the site.

As for a 2nd e-mail address I have been considering that for some time now. With my daughter being pregnant I think I am going to go ahead and do that because there are a lot of free things out there to be given to new mommies. This will allow both her and I to use the 2nd e-mail for just random stuff like freecycle.com

I have started purchasing a few things myself, her BF's brother & SIL have 2 children and will loan some things if they are not using them, but their little one is only 6 or 7 mos. I think.

Thanks for the reminder on freecycle, and I will def create a 2nd email by end of the night.
