Everyone is welcome!
Our monthly meeting will be this Wednesday, March 21, from 6-8 pm in the theater building of Hoover Middle School at 1635 Park Ave., San Jose. The group is sponsored by Pacific Laparoscopy and is oriented towards the duodenal switch, but patients of other surgeons are welcome, and your support person is also welcome.
If you are pre-op and still learning about all the different wls options, meeting people who live with each option is a great way to learn. And even if you think your insurance doesn't cover the DS, that is something that can often be successfully appealed. The group is small, friendly and well informed. You can pm me if you would like more information.
     Come join us!

Hey Missy,

That's just way too many months in between, so I sure do hope we get our "Nancy fix" in April!  Miss you bunches.  Travel safe my friend.

Hugs and love to you and Lon.

Sounds like a good insurance plan to keep you away from starchy foods

Ive never heard about them or read about them, so I can't offer any advice.

Topic: Hello Everybody
I am sorry it has been so long since I have posted. Life goes by so fast! I have been busy with my grandkids and my Red Hat activities. I went to a convention in Las Vegas last weekend, it was so much fun. I went a couple of days early to see my parents.

I have gained back a little weight and Dr. Swartz wants me to lose it, but I think I look and feel better with the added weight. I do have a new addiction and that is shopping. I am planning on getting counseling for it. Enough is Enough already! There is a lady named Denise in Modesto who is supposed to specialize in WLS patients and I have a call into her.

How are all of you doing? I will try to check in more often. I do think of you often.

Elizabeth
