Dr. Leport (Fountain Valley Ca.)

  Hello,  

Has anyone had the lap-band done with Dr. Leport (fountain valley ca) or any of the other surgeons in his group? 

I'm scheduling surgery soon and I still haven't  narrowed down a surgeon. Any input would be appreciated.

I WENT TO DR. LEPORT OFFICE AND HAD THE GASTRIC BYPASS DONE

Y DO U WANT THE BAND FOR ?

I READ U HAD IT DONE ALREADY ....BUT WHY DID U CHOOSE THAT ONE

OR IS THAT THE ONLY ONE THE INSURANCE WOULD COVER..

I HAVE ALOT OF FRIENDS THAT HAD IT TAKEN OFF TO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE LAP- BAND

AND GOT THE GASTRIC BYPASS .....

R U HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YR LAP-BAND

I chose the lap-band because I felt it was the best procedure  for me, not necessarily because its the only one my insurance would cover. 

I did my research and reading as well as talking to several people who have had it done prior to making a decision,  there are just as many  success stories with the lap-band as there are the with the bypass and the sleeve.They all have their pros and cons. I guess it just comes down to ones personal choice.

Yes, i did have surgery on 8/26/13 and so far so good.  I assume things are as they should be at this point in healing. I'm just ending my second week post-op. I have y 2 week appointment nest week.
